Earth is the 3rd planet away from the sun and is the 5th biggest planet in our solar system.Our planet is the only planet with water,humans,and life that is why earth sustains life.Earth interacts with other objects in space, especially the Sun and the Moon. At present, Earth orbits the Sun once every 366.26 times it rotates about its own axis, which is equal to 365.26 solar days, or one sidereal year.[note 7] The Earth’s axis of rotation is tilted 23.4° away from the perpendicular of its orbital plane, producing seasonal variations on the planet’s surface with a period of one tropical year (365.24 solar days).[28] Earth’s only known natural satellite, the Moon, which began orbiting it about 4.53 billion years ago, provides ocean tides, stabilizes the axial tilt, and gradually slows the planet’s rotation. Between approximately 3.8 billion and 4.1 billion years ago, numerous asteroid impacts during the Late Heavy Bombardmentcaused significant changes to the greater surface environment.Earth also has a leap year every 4 yrs.Our planet is 384,000km away from the moon and the equator is 6,378.1km.Earth is the only planet which huge in our first 4 planets but the rest are way bigger then Earth.

On Thursday the 3rd of May 2012,Old Moat played against Webster primary school,unfortunatley we lost 5-0 but we still played very well Webster had some stunning players in the match.We could still improve whatever we got wrong if we got wrong match in the futre well done!Old moat

Journey to the centre of the Earth

On non experiencing day there lived a boy called Mason, his big sister called Catilyn and their big step brother called Timothy and they lived in a massive, grand and magnificent mansion. The mansion was white in it had a pool in their garden they were lucky to be rich and they knew it, but their Timothy always told them to focus on edcucation that way could get money like him. Mason asked “please can we do something outside like rock climbing? You see Mason was like an out person teenager. He loved outdoor games and Timothy replied “yes”
Noooooooooo! Eclaimed Catilyn she hated rock climbing and all that junk they call sports. “If you do it i’ll get you a prize said dad” bribing her. “Catilyn said who’s dumb enough too believe that”

Eventully she went and they went to a mountain and it looked strange but they still climbed. Catilyn started to like rock climbing and she said “i can’t believe i didn’t like rock climbing” She really loved it and they made it to the middle of the mountain, and they got tired and sweaty and it got hotter and hotter. Suddenly they found themsleves in somewhere they didn’t want to be. They were in the centre of the Earth…

They all knew what the centre of the Earth looked like, because they saw the Crust, mantle, outer core, and then they fell in the inner core and they saw mythical creatures such as red snakes, three headed dog, fishpig, and mushrooms moving, but most of all they saw Dinosaurs. They were speech less and it was like someone took there breath away. They were shocked and Frightened at the same time. They sneaked away silently and tried to find a way out, but they didn’t. Afterwards they spent the night in the centre of the earth luckily they ha d brought some food. The next morning they found weapons so they could use them on animals. Nobody knew a way out they all tried to think but there was no ideas. A dinosaur with razor sharp teeth the size of a knife. They killed the dinosaurs and ran as fast as they could.

They really were anxious to get out until Catilyn thought of a plan she whispered “we could get out the same way we got in” Mason and Timothy said “that’s a great idea” They tried to find there way back to where they climbed, then they started to climb down the mountain but a yellow dragon jumped at them and Mason nearly fell but he hung on tight because he had a goog and tight grip.They fought off the yellow dragon and climbed down. Finally they reached their land. They quickly ran back home like nothing happened and they were just playing and they slept in a tent. Catilyn said we never speak of this again.

Here are some facts about the seven continents of Earth I will put one fact for each continent.
Africa- Africa it holds 54 different countries.MAGNIFICENT!!

North America-  North America contains 23 contries including all of the islands, it is the 3rd largest continent.

South America- South America is the fourth large continent in the world. It includes 3 major territories and 12 countries.

Europe- Europe is bordered by the Arctic Ocean, some of the countries in Europe are England, France, Spain.

Asia-  Asia is populated very largely.

Australia- Australia, is a country in the Southern Hemisphere comprising the mainland of the Australian continent

Artic and Antartica- Antarctica is a continent land mass but the Arctic is a sea with edges The Arctic has indigenous people and the Antarctic doesn’t.

Yet, it has a cultural diversity which can hardly be found in any part of the world. Besides, it also controls a large amount of the world’s political and financial decisions.
